“La Burgondie” was the historical region of France that gave rise to the term Burgundy. The legendary little knight character that appears on the bottles truly captures the essence of La Burgondie. Courageous, confident and loyal. A forward-thinking, like-minded group of individuals who are fiercely proud of their Burgundian roots, their beautiful region and their wines. The same wines, produced using environmentally friendly farming methods, which are evocative of the hard-working co-operative-winemaker families who give their all, and have done so for generations.
We find the Côte Chalonnaise in the very heart of Burgundy; the vineyards continue the natural line of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Organized into small individual villages, the regional appellation “Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise” brings together 44 different communes, it embodies both
white wines made from Chardonnay and red wines from Pinot Noir.

Valle del Rapel is one of the few places where Carménère grows in ideal conditions. It is located in the central part of Chile and it exhibits a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with warm and dry days and pleasantly cool nights during the growing season, as a result of cold breezes coming from the Andes. Rapel has also a cool influence from the Pacificís Humboldt Current, which lowers temperatures in the coastal areas of the valley. This leads to warm days with ample sunlight and dry conditions, allowing a slow ripening period. Carménère is able to fully ripen but maintain all its fresh notes that are so unique to the variety.

The brand Le Preare was created by Cantina Valpolicella Negrar to pay tribute to a history, where previous generations very often paid a very high price, allowing todays generation of vine growers to benefit from the hard work of their forefathers.
Located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classico, this area was also known for its prestigious stones, such as the red marble of Verona. It was widely used by the Venetians when building their villas. However, the use of other local stones, less prestigious then marble, was wide spread. The antique mines where the stone was taken, were called “preare” in local dialect. The local stones were used to separate the vineyards and also to build the terraces, allowing the vines to grow also on steep slopes.

Mostly aged in concrete vats, Avarum in the Vacqueyras appellation, is a blend of Grenache and Syrah. We find an intense and generous nose, with notes of black fruits and spices. The mouth, full of freshness, is rich and ample, with silky and elegant tannins, for a long smoky finish. A delight!
It was in Latour de France that M.Chapoutier chose to set up his domain. The vines of Bila-Haut and Occultum Lapidem were the first expressions of this terroir. The story continued near a little village called Lesquerde. Steep, craggy limestone, arid soil, battered by the tramontane wind…
The plots of this Côtes-du-Roussillon Villages AOP red blend are located on the slopes of the high Agly Valley, composed of gneiss and schist from the Devonian Period.
