The history of Château d’Issan consists primarily of a long list of property transmissions and legacies. By inheritance and marriage, the estate has been handed down from owner to owner, and all of them have contributed in their own way to its renown and helped to forge its unique character. Over a period of nearly three centuries, the estate was passed down along a line involving a number of families with names such as Noailhan, Meyrac, Ségur, Salignac, de la Vergne, Escodeca de Boisse, etc. From 1575 onwards, the property was owned by five generations of the Essenault family, who ended up renaming it, contracting their name to “Issan” and thus Château d’Issan was born…
Blason d’Issan, the second wine, was introduced from 1995 onwards to enable selection amongst our vines growing in the Margaux appellation area. Fruit from the youngest vines is used to produce this wine, which respects the identity of its terroir, while offering a tasty round fruitiness, which can be enjoyed earlier.
The 2019 vintage displays perfect balance between its sun-ripened aromas and the texture of its tannins.
Château Rieussec’s second wine is selected according to the same standards as the first wine. Its character consistently reveals a beautiful aromatic range dominated by citrus flavours. Carmes de Rieussec’s name is a reference to the Carmelite monks in Langon, who owned the Rieussec estate, located on the border of the municipalities of Fargues and Sauternes, in the 18th century. Passed from hand to hand among different families, in 1984 it was bought by the Barons Rothschild, one of the most noble families important linked to the world of wine, already owner of the famous Château Lafite.
Today at Château Rieussec are grown the three symbolic vines of Sauternes, sémillion, sauvignon and muscadelle, carefully following traditional techniques, both in the vineyard and in the winery: the result of this commitment leads to the creation of rich, deep and dense wines, which conquer and fascinate from the first sip, thanks to the great variety of organoleptic characteristics expressed in the glass.

The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon has been a foundational wine in Chappellet Winery portfolio for more than five decades. It is a benchmark for the long-lived hillside wines of the Napa Valley; full of structure and aging potential, yet seductively forward in its concentrated varietal character. The dry, rocky soils of Pritchard Hill produce small, intensely flavorful grapes. Crop thinning allows for full, even ripening and elevates flavor complexity.
A Cru Bourgeois located in the heart of the Médoc, Château Artigues has been owned by the Meffre family since 1958. Today, Claude Meffre leads the estate, after a career in journalism.
The 30-hectare vineyard, near the hamlet of Artigues, sits on silico-gravel and Garonne gravel soils. Interestingly, the small Château Artigues borders some famous estates classified as “cru classé” – so it offers the typical Pauillac character at a much more affordable price.

Château Bibian is a historic (and one of the oldest) property in Listrac-Médoc, located between the more famous communes of Margaux and Saint-Julien.
The château, purchased by the Meyre family in 1999 and a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur classified, is today run by the 6th generation, where Nathalie and Julien Meyre, in consultation with the famous wine consultant (Michel Rolland), carry on the family traditions and produce this classic Bordeaux wine.
“I inherited Château Cantelaudette in 1984, I was thirty years old and married in the same year. The property was not really a wedding gift: the house and vines had been abandoned and there was no winery. However, my wife, when she saw the old château, thought that it should be our home. Starting from scratch, we refurbished it to our taste, replanted the vines according to expert recommendations, and built an operational winery to produce a wine under the Cantelaudette label. Without my wife, Laurence, I never would have had the courage to undertake this adventure. Château Corbin is one of the oldest estates in St. Emilion. In fact, it dates back to the 15th century. More recently, bringing Chateau Corbin into the modern era, in 1924, Château Corbin was purchased by the Great Grandparents of the current owners, the Cruse family. The beautiful chateau was constructed in the 1800s. During the late 1990s, Anabelle Cruse and her sisters purchased the shares of Château Corbin from the other family shareholders and took over complete ownership of the estate.
In each and every vintage, the wines of Château Corbin are the fruit of true luxury craftsmanship. Carefully tended vines, a meticulous selection of the grape bunches and slow barrel ageing are prerequisites in the Corbin method to ensure longevity in its wines.
