Little brother of Château La Lagune, The Moulin stands out for its deliciousness. The blend always favours Merlot, which contributes to making a wine that is very tasty from the very first years. Viticulture, vinification and ageing are carried out with the same concern for perfection for the Moulin as for Château La Lagune, with the aim to preserve as much as possible of the finesse, elegance and balance of La Lagune, so characteristic of its terroir, while seeking richness in the vineyard.
The entire vineyard is certified organic and cultivated with respect for the soil and the living ecosystem.

Zinnkoepflé soils sits upon shelly Muschelkalk limestone strewn with sandstone inclusions which provide aromatic finesse and remarkable acidity – the base for the superb intensity of these terroir wines. Zinnkoepflé produces wines marked by generous maturity which translates on the palate into aromas of candied fruit and toasted notes. Simultaneously, the mouth structure reveals complex freshness. This duality bestows weight, finishing with a subtle, sweeping and highly precise minerality. In particolar, Riesling unfolds notes of citrus fruit peel giving a succulent sensation, a mere prelude to intense minerality.
Rocca delle Macìe was established in 1973, when Italo Zingarelli, a film-maker, producer and director, decided to realize his lifelong dream by acquiring the “Le Macìe” estate, in order to create a winery in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone and to produce wines that, thanks to their balance between the tannic structure, fruit and pleasantness, can be appreciated by young people and wines that are able to give over the years a great evolution.
It’s a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2019, made from Sangiovese grapes grown on the first two estates Italo purchased in 1973, Le Macìe and Sant’Alfonso. A blend, therefore, of two very different terroirs: the former rich in Alberese, the latter in clay – as different from one another in character as the two protagonists in the film, Bud & Terence, one strong, the other light. The choice of the Magnum format reflects Italo’s philosophy – being together, sharing carefree moments together over a glass of wine.
