Les Indomptables cuvée pays tribute to the men who cultivate the vine despite its whims. These winegrowers have a perfect understanding of the vine and its land, but they must deal with the hazards it throws their way. The vine cannot be tamed, it must be domesticated.
This vintage reveals a complex nose with aromas of red fruits, licorice and thyme. The palate is silky and fruity with notes of blackberry, supported by powerful and velvety tannins.

The Saint-Joseph appellation extends around fifty kilometres on the right bank of the River Rhone, from Chavanay in the north to Guilherand-Granges, near Valence, in the south. The mainly-east facing vineyards are planted on the steep slopes of gneiss and local granite schist, occasionally coated with lenses of loess. This white Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a blend of several Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroirs, composed of rolled pebbles from the ancient bed of the Rhône, safres and villafranchian terraces on clay matrices.
The name Maia comes from an ancient tradition. Maia is in fact one of the seven sisters stars that together form the constellation of the Pleiades. Since ancient times guided sailors and farmers of Lake Garda in navigation and harvesting.

It’s part of a broader production portfolio represented by the Femar winery and takes its name from an old farmhouse whose vineyards are located in Puglia, near the town of Manduria. The wines are produced primarily from Negroamaro and Primitivo grapes. The brand has also expanded to include an interesting version of Zinfandel.
