There are places you don’t choose by chance. Places that call out to you, welcome you, and tell a story worth preserving, honoring, and allowing to evolve. Contrada Rivella, in Castagnole delle Lanze, is one of those places.
Its story began between the 1960s and 1970s, when Renato Sobrino, driven by a visionary spirit and a rare determination, started his work in his parents’ garage. Today, that precious story does not end: it moves forward.
In August 2025, the Bosio family chose to embrace this heritage, with the desire to protect its identity while guiding it toward the future. Leading this new phase is Luca Bosio, heir to a winemaking legacy that for generations has spoken of Piedmont with pride and heart.
Nizza DOCG is produced in the heart of Monferrato, from historic vineyards where Barbera reaches exceptional elegance, structure, and depth. A powerful yet balanced red wine, rich in aromatic intensity, complexity, and remarkable longevity.

Ageing 6 months in wood in order to add depth, balance, and silky tannins.
PAIRING
Ideal with braised meats, roasts, game, aged cheeses, and rich Piedmontese dishes. A superb meditation wine.
