Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande (frequently known as Pichon Lalande or Pichon Comtesse) is one of the most celebrated names in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Officially ranked as a Second Growth (Deuxième Grand Cru Classé) in the legendary 1855 Bordeaux Classification, it commands global prestige as a premier “Super Second”—a property whose quality consistently rivals the first growths.
The vineyard originally formed a single massive estate with its neighbor, Château Pichon-Longueville Baron. In 1850, the owner, Baron Joseph de Pichon Longueville, divided the property among his children. The portion inherited by his daughter Virginie, Countess of Lalande, officially became Pichon Comtesse.

AGEING
Ageing for 12 months in barrels (50% new).
PAIRING
Ideal in combination with braised meats, pork cheek in red wine and stewed game.
