Cap Royal Bordeaux Supérieur Rouge

Cap Royal takes its name from the royal Cordouan lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse of Europe, situated at the entrance of Gironde Estuary. This 14th century beacon once signalled safe passage to Bordeaux wine merchants, returning home after sharing the great wines of Bordeaux with the world. Cap Royal benefits from the expertise of Jean René Matignon, winemaker of Château Pichon Baron, Grand Cru Classé Pauillac.

Certified EVE Vegan.

APPEARANCE
Deep garnet red with youthful purple glints.

NOSE
Expressive and complex, featuring primary aromas of ripe red fruits, blackberries, and blueberries, alongside spicy toasted notes of vanilla and oak.

PALATE
A classic medium-to-full body with silky tannins and bright acidity. Expect flavors of black currant, cassis, and a rich, spicy finish.

AGEING
Aged in oak barrels in the traditional Bordeaux way.

PAIRING
Try it with duck confit, roast chicken, or pheasant. The Merlot provides a plushness that won’t overpower these slightly lighter meats.
