APPEARANCE
Bright ruby with a dark garnet hue.
NOSE
Aromas of wild berries, earth, tobacco, mild oak, and spice.
PALATE
It has a supple, medium-bodied texture with fine freshness and a rounded finish.
AGEING
The wine is typically aged for 14 months in a mix of second-fill French oak barrels (barrels that have already aged one vintage of the Grand Vin) alongside oak casks and terracotta amphorae, depending from the vintage.
PAIRING
Decant for about 1 hour to soften the grip of the tannins and serve it alongside roasted lamb, grilled duck, ribeye steak, or a mushroom risotto.
