Cantina Le Monde is located in Friuli, within the famous Grave del Friuli area that extends from the foothills of the Alps to the Adriatic Sea. The origins of the estate that once owned the farmland can be traced back to the early 1700’s. The name ‘Le Monde’ is taken from the Germanic-Latin word “Mundio”, an ancient Germanic law that ‘protected’ the farmlands of the region. Cantina Le Monde ‘protects’ and safeguards its vineyards, farming in a healthy way, that respects nature and the sustainable future of ancient soils.

TECHNICAL DATA

APPEARANCE
Intense ruby red, with garnet reflections.

NOSE
Rich and persistent bouquet that opens in intense notes of jam, accompanied by herbaceous hints.

PALATE
In the mouth it’s enveloping, soft, balanced by a measured one sour shoulder; long and of great persistence.

VINIFICATION
After a careful check in the pressing phasefollows a slow fermentation at a controlled temperature with daily punching down for 15-20 days.
A maturation follows in steel vats for a few months.

PAIRING
Its strong and warm body lends itself to accompanying cold cuts, grilled meats and game.

READINESS FOR DRINKING
Drink now or keep for 5 to 10 years.
