In the last thirty years, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest has constantly challenged practices and techniques for the benefit of his land and the unique characteristics of the wines grown on it, enabling Château Angelus to be recognised as one of the foremost properties in its appellation area. This recognition has been documented in one classification after another, the last of which awarded Château Angelus the status of Premier Grand Cru Classé “A”.

Made exclusively with vines belonging to Château Angelus, parcels acquired in 2017 located in Castillon-la-Bataille, Saint-Magne-de-Castillon, Sainte-Colombe and in the Francs sector, a few kilometers from Saint-Émilion on magnificent clay-limestone hillsides dominated by tuff and marl. Tempo d’Angelus is vinified in a cellar specifically designed for it, within the “Chai Carillon” complex, where it benefits from the latest technologies and all of Angelus’ expertise.

TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 13.5%

APPEARANCE
The color is clear and dark.

NOSE
The nose bursts with fresh red berry fruit aromas, tiny berries and cherries, enhanced by subtle notes of oak.

PALATE
The palate gives a sensation of verticality, enhanced by a fine acidity which donates the wine great freshness and pure character. The finish is lingering with subtle notes of roast coffee beans and oak coming through.

AGEING
Unlike the Grand Vin, Tempo utilizes a partial ageing of 18 months in French oak barrels, approximately 40% new.

PAIRING
Its structure makes it a versatile partner for classic French cuisine and a variety of international dishes.
