TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 14%
APPEARANCE
Dark ruby red with purple highlights.
NOSE
On the nose it reveals flavors of blackberry, strawberry and cherry syrup and also notes of cassis, forest fruits, some vanilla and cinnamon.
PALATE
On the palate, it is a powerful wine with a nice balance between acidity and tannins. Bold and youthful, with a proper tannic structure, this tastes like a much more expensive Bordeaux.
AGEING
The wine is aged for 18 months in concrete vats prior to bottling, allowing the tannins to soften slightly and respect its fruity side.
PAIRING
The Bordeaux Supérieur of Château La Plaige generally goes quite well with beef, veal or game dishes such as recipes for beef with panang curry, vitello tonnato or duck with vanilla (reunion).
