Camino de Chile Carménère

The grapes come from vineyards located in Villa Alegre, 285 km south of Santiago, in Maule Valley. This place has a Mediterranean-like climate, with mild winters and dry summers, with marked range of temperatures between day and night.
This allows the grapes to get ripe tannins, as well as excellent aromas and color concentration. Soils are a combination of sand and volcanic ash and the flat terrain gets and superb sunlight exposition. Yields are carefully controlled to produce concentrated wines, excellent quality and elegance.
Camino del Chile indicates the direction of Bodegas De Aguirre, today known as VDA, Viña de Aguirre, from their origins and their ancestors towards excellence.
Classified as AA Company under the BRC Global Standards Quality Program.

Lapostolle Clos Apalta

Clos Apalta is born in 1997 as the iconic wine of the Domaines Bournet-Lapostolle in Chile under the idea to magnify the exceptional terroir of Apalta with French expertise. Shaping the vineyard foot by foot, building a state-of-the-art gravity fed winery, the family succeeded in making Clos Apalta one of the most iconic wines in South America.

This year we had a generous production, healthy, of excellent flavor, with relatively moderate alcohol levels and more freshness. It will be remembered as one of the greatest cold vintages of the 21st century in Chile.

“It was a wonderful harvest … 2018 was everything that you could wish for to make wines that are fully ripe but have a lot of elegance and freshness. A treat from Mother Nature”. Andrea Leon, Chief Winemaker.

Lapostolle Grand Selection Carménère

Valle del Rapel is one of the few places where Carménère grows in ideal conditions. It is located in the central part of Chile and it exhibits a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with warm and dry days and pleasantly cool nights during the growing season, as a result of cold breezes coming from the Andes. Rapel has also a cool influence from the Pacificís Humboldt Current, which lowers temperatures in the coastal areas of the valley. This leads to warm days with ample sunlight and dry conditions, allowing a slow ripening period. Carménère is able to fully ripen but maintain all its fresh notes that are so unique to the variety.

Certified Carbon Neutral.
