The Premier Cru Santenay “Les Passetemps” is a highly regarded Premier Cru red Burgundy wine. It is made entirely from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from the distinguished “Les Passetemps” climat in the Santenay appellation of Côte de Beaune.

Description

TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 13.5%

APPEARANCE
The colour is fairly dark, deep ruby.

NOSE
Its aromas are reminiscent of springtime gardens, small red fruits (raspberry, strawberry, cherry) and black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant).

PALATE
Robust without losing its distinction, racy and fruity, with a firm, structured body, rich in chewiness and pleasant tannins.

AGEING
12/14 months in French oak barrel (228 l fine-grain medium toast) and 2/3 months in stainless steel tank before bottling.

PAIRING
It pairs exceptionally well with heartier, slightly more rustic meats and strong, medium-aged cheeses.
