The Miles from Nowhere name comes from the journey Franklin Tate’s ancestors made over 100 years ago from Eastern Europe to Australia: upon their arrival, they felt they had travelled “miles from nowhere”.
The philosophy of Miles from Nowhere is based on a passion for seeking out precious pockets of exceptional land and vineyards across the Margaret River region.
For this blend of Shiraz, two parcels of Wilyabrup fruit with an average vine age of 20 years were selected : one from sand over clay soils located close to the coast, and one on free draining gravelly ironstone. Both parcels are spur pruned and low yielding with excellent bunch architecture.
A good Shiraz for those who enjoy a wine with a dense mouthfeel.

A mild growing season associated with moderate crop led to slow and even ripening during harvest 2022, preserving good acidity and balance while intensifying the varietal characters. For the 2022 vintage of this blend, fruits come from the heart of northern Margaret River: a Gin Gin selection from the original Miamup property and a blend of 4 traditional Burgundy clones field blended on harvest day to maximize the complexity of aromas.
Some drinkers may expect to find a full bodied, heavily oaked chardonnay, this Chardonnay takes a slightly different approach in showing a more delicate and youthful side, of the beloved variety.

A wine Margaret River produces better than most: the classical styled Sauvignon Blanc Semillon.
2022 offered good conditions for this blend of Sauvignon Blanc, which cames into the winery first at the peak of its freshness, and Semillon, which was allowed to ripen longer and develop highly textural characters typical of the variety.
With its bright acidity balanced with tropical fruit flavours, every sip truly takes you Miles From Nowhere.

Mottura wines are modern, but have a long history to tell. Since 1927, Mottura has been investing into the wine-making traditions of Salento, into the quality of its product and into modern and sustainable growth: made from native grapes such as Primitivo and Negroamaro, their aromas and bouquets reflect the spirit of this land, its authenticity and its energy.
Cultivated using the ancient bush-trained system which is naturally low-yield, it nonetheless has great concentration and organoleptic complexity. A Negroamaro with a strong personality yet a delicate palate.
The name and image on the label in fact recalls a rose window, the decorative roundel present on the facades of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque style churches. The symbolic meaning of the rose window is closely related to the circle which, like an “infinite line” with no beginning and no end, is the symbol of God, and of eternity.

In recent years “Stilio” has been added to Mottura’s range of wines. It is made from grapes selected from low-yield vineyards in the area of Manduria. One part of the grapes used to make this wine is slightly raisined on the vine, which concentrates the aromas before harvesting, thanks to a slight drying and resulting 20-30% loss of water. The label recalls the ancient cultural tradition of the “taranta” in Salento, rediscovered in recent years: a stylised jewel-like spider on a black background. The symbolism of the spider, the “taranta”, is important. Its bite triggers the need for dancing, music and colours, with a cathartic effect. All liberating emotions that even the flavour of this wine could provoke.
Muriel Wines was created as a family business with strong links to its place of origin. Today, it has become a large global company with an important part of its business dedicated to exports. But it remains very connected to its roots: one foot in the vineyard and the other in the rest of the world.
This gran reserva is a true Rioja classic. With great aromatic complexity and a smooth and unctuous mouthfeel, it comes from the old Tempranillo vineyards that Muriel owns in the town of Elciego. Perfected after a long and careful aging of 24 months in oak barrels.

Back in 1985, good friends, Tim Murphy, Dale Goode, and Dave Ready, were deep in their weekly game of liar’s dice when an idea was formulated. On that particularly lively night, the trio decided to make their love of wine official.
They pooled their collective talents together and established Murphy-Goode, a serious winery built around a common concept: don’t take life so seriously. And they did a pretty “goode” job!
Thoughts from the Winemaker: “This is no wimpy Merlot. We make this wine to please even the finickiest of Cab drinkers. Look for aromas and flavors of black cherry, blueberry, and blackberry all tied together with just a kiss of toasty vanilla.” David Ready, Jr.

This Pinot Noir sources grapes throughout the coast of California, from the marine-influenced vineyards of Sonoma County down to hills of the idyllic Santa Barbara. Cool conditions in these prime growing spots keep grapes at a perfect balance between vibrant dark fruit character and bright acidity. Notes of vanilla from aging in French and American oak add complexity to the intense black cherry aromas and flavors.
Sixth generation of winegrowers, Nicolas Gaudry and his wife Sandy have been exploiting since 2003, 23 hectares of very fragmented plots between the villages of Boisgibault and Les Loges in the Nièvre. This distribution in the Pouilly vineyard offers possibilities for complex blends of all types of terroirs for a typical Pouilly-Fumé wine.
This elegant Pouilly-Fumé shows volume and consistency. Crispy and fresh wine with nice balance between fruity and minerality.
