The fruit for the Hedonist Cabernet Sauvignon is grown biodynamically on the estate vineyard situated in the Willunga foothills, McLaren Vale. Warm Summer days are cooled by evening sea breezes from St Vincentís Gulf, which lies a close proximity to the West. The soil is rich loam over clay with patches of underlying limestone, giving the wine a rich and fullness of pallet.
A civilised vintage created a relaxed picking environment and enabled an ideal balance of sugar ripeness, natural acidity and texture in the resulting wines.
The fruit for the Hedonist Shiraz is predominately estate grown on our organic/biodynamic certified vineyard situated in the Willunga foothills, McLaren Vale. Fruit is also sourced from the Sellicks Foothills, Blewitt Springs and Kangarilla, all from vastly different soil profiles and aspects across the district. The idyllic St Vincent’s Gulf with it’s cooling sea breeze lies just to the West of the valley.

With his pioneering spirit, Michel Chapoutier set off to discover the terroirs of the oldest continent, with an idea: growing Rhone grapes in Australia. This was the beginnings of a tremendous voyage of discovery, observation and eventually, affection for that land. On what he found to be very special terroir, he planted non-grafted vines from 19th century clonal selections, imported from Europe before phylloxera took its toll. The non-negligible advantage was that in Australia, the harvest coincides with the French spring: ideal timing.

Brushtail Estate captures the essence of Australia, inspired by its prominent wildlife, that is much-loved by so many. Just like the Brushtail Possum, this range is a prized Australian native, with its very own distinguishing features.
As a new addition to the range, Whitesands Estate Brut Cuvée is very refreshing with the fragrance and fruit of a classic sparkling, in a crisp, dry, frizzante style.
