In Spessa, located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, grandfather ‘Min’ – and then father Livio – in the ‘60s began the history of what is today Tunella, owned by Massimo and Marco Zorzettig. The two, together with their mother Gabriella, are now the proud custodian of their family’s tradition, with over 50 years of history. Tunella is the prime example of a reality in which the meaning of the present blends with the memory of the past, together with a strong drive to experiment while almost religiously respecting the best traditions of the Colli Orientali del Friuli: a future built on the present, day by day.

Tunella Pinot Grigio Friuli Colli Orientali DOP is an elegant, highly expressive Italian white wine. Far removed from standard, neutral expressions of the variety, this mountain-influenced Pinot Grigio is celebrated for its deep texture and intense mineral core.

APPEARANCE
Intense straw yellow.

NOSE
Fruity and fragrant nose evoking aromas of warm bread crust and intense perfume of acacia blossom and ripe tropical fruit.

PALATE
The palate echoes the nose and is elegant, full-bodied with moderately acidity and delicate hints of yeast. A wine with a very decisive character.

AGEING
The maturation developes with a lengthy series of bâtonnage carried out at intervals to produce a well-rounded and full-bodied wine, with a delicate bouquet.

PAIRING
Serve with starters, Parma ham, fish and white meats. Excellent as an apéritif.
