The Sangro winery was founded in 1971 by 110 members to transform the precious grapes of local winemakers into something big as a cooperatve.
The Sangro river is one of the most important waterways on the Adriatc side of the Apennines. Its wide valley, near the mouth, has always been a fertle agricultural area, crossed in the past centuries by focks in seasonal transhumance between the mountains and the Tavoliere delle Puglia.
The Sangro wine is born in the heart of central Abruzzo, between the Maiella Mountain, the sunny hills and the Trabocchi Coast. It is expression of a natural vocaton of the territory, nourished by traditons, experiences and passions that have been handed down for generatons.
This Cerasuolo comes from the municipality of Fossacesia and neighboring areas, the more suitable hills that lean out on the Coast of the Trabocchi, with a South, South-eastern aspect and a height of about 150mt above the sea level.

The wine has a beautiful cherry red color.
NOSE
On the nose hasa persistent aroma of red fruits such as raspberry and currant.
PALATE
On the palate it is round, full-bodied but well-balanced and harmonious.
AGEING
Batonnages in steel for about 4 months and an additional rest in the bottle concludes its maturation.
PAIRING
Recommended for pizza nights, rich fish soups (brodetto), or delicate pasta courses.
