Amadio Pirovano opened the tavern “Da Pirovano” in the mid-800s, selling wine bought mainly from small farmers in southern Italy, especially in Puglia. Today, the fourth generation, with commitment and dedication, continues the growth and development of the family business, even in Veneto, from where this fresh and mineral Pinot Grigio is produced.
The Abruzzo are rather unknown as a winegrowing region, except for the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, which originates from it. The winery Colle Corviano in Loreto Aprutino belongs to the growing region Pescara, where Pinot Grigio is grown in selected vineyards located near the village of Loreto Aprutino in the Pinot Grigio IGP area, on stony, structured and drained limestone soil at 300 mt above the sea level, showing pleasant freshness with a well integrated acidity.
The name “iLauri” stems from the ancient roots of our birth place, Loreto Aprutino, once covered in Laurus nobilis, or laurel trees.
The celebrated Pinot Grigio varietal has been known since the Middle Ages in the Burgundy region and derives from a bud mutation of Pinot Noir. In partnership with they winemaker, the I Lauri’s team supervise an exquisite parcel in the Northeastern region of Veneto, while the name stems from one of our area’s most important rivers, born at almost 2.000 meters at the foot of the Gran Sasso.

Cantina Le Monde is located in Friuli, within the famous Grave del Friuli area that extends from the foothills of the Alps to the Adriatic Sea. The origins of the estate that once owned the farmland can be traced back to the early 1700’s. The name ‘Le Monde’ is taken from the Germanic-Latin word “Mundio”, an ancient Germanic law that ‘protected’ the farmlands of the region.
