Founded in 1642, Mandan is the oldest wine estate in Chile and now listed by the government as one of the oldest historic buildings.
Mandan is the name originally meant for the first tribe of American Indians, migrated from Siberia to the Americas more than 20,000 years ago, where they formed a unique culture there.
Americans believe that the birds soaring in the sky have a sacred charm. In ancient sports or war, whoever wins will get a feather, which will be inserted into the hat as a prize and become a symbol of honor. The higher the number of feathers, the higher the bravery and the greater the prestige of war.
That’s why the winery is marked by feathers, which, at the same time, represent the enthusiastic and sunny winemaking spirit of the winery and the endless exploration and passion for high-quality wine.
It all began in the mid-1970s when André Dubosc – a third-generation wine grower – set out to build up the reputation of the wines from their region of South-West France. He and other passionate young winegrowers fashioned local dry white wines (now a PGI: Côtes de Gascogne), revived the Saint Mont appellation and gave a new breath of life to the Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, made from late-harvested grapes. In 1979, these women and men, who put their heart, soul and know-how into producing the best the terroir could offer, decided to strengthen their foothold by uniting their wine cellars and estates. And so they set up the Plaimont union of cooperatives (“Pl” for Plaisance, “Ai” for Aignan and “Mont” for Saint Mont).
Their vision came to life in 1984 with the birth of Colombelle, an innovative cuvée that offered a bold response to the Armagnac crisis and marked the region’s revival. For the en primeur season, Colombelle unveils a limited edition “Night Feather,” inspired by the 1970s and the exuberance of its origins. Free-spirited, colorful, and retro, it reflects the fresh, daring, and convivial spirit of the wine. Sourced from selected parcels in Côtes de Gascogne, Colombelle charms with its liveliness and aromatic expression, designed for aperitifs and moments of togetherness.
The label design was entrusted to the Com Océan agency, which reaffirms the unique, modern, and distinctive style of Plaimont’s iconic cuvée.

The Donkey was an animal that Miguel, the owner’s brother, used to play with when they were kids. The winemakers had already prepared a natural wine to launch to the market. And it all happened very organically. Emiliano Pierro, the artist, exhibited in the art cellar and one of his paintings was a donkey. The family fell in love with Emiliano’s style and they decided that the wine had to tell that story.

This wine was inspired by a baby sheep that the owner’s children raised during the pandemic on the Maipú farm, they named her Juanita and today she lives with the rest of the animals on the farm.

La Vaquita is a clarete inspired by Olivia, a calf gifted to the owner’s niece Helena for her birthday. It is a wine crafted under the clarete method, arising from the fermentation of red and white grapes, the latter in smaller proportion. Composed of 80% Malbec and 20% Torrontés, it is a wine with a light color and a strong aromatic impact reminiscent of red fruits, with floral notes characteristic of Torrontés.

Stonehaven Winery and vineyards are embedded in the heart of the Limestone Coast. The region produces a wide range of premium fruit from rich soils, which benefits from readily abundant water and cool evening temperatures even when daytime temperatures soar. Stonehaven Wines use these to make complex, balanced wines that retain the flavours and characters.
Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay provide the bulk of the region’s harvest, with plantings of Merlot, Pinot Gris and Riesling also gaining in popularity and quality.

The Tenuta Ulisse Pinot Grigio Terre d’Abruzzo IGP is a crisp, highly aromatic white wine produced in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Unlike traditional northern Italian Pinot Grigios that are often thin and neutral, in its standard line Tenuta Ulisse uses a signature ultra-cold skin cryomaceration technique to extract remarkable depth, concentration, and structure from the grapes.
