Château La Croix Du Casse Pomerol AOC

Château La Croix Du Casse was for many years owned and administered by Jean-Michel Arcaute, who also owned Chateau Jonqueyres and world famous Château Clinet.
He was one of Bordeaux`s true innovators and propelled Croix du Casse into the front line of Pomerol properties.

Located at the southern tip of the Pomerol plateau , the Château La Croix du Casse vineyard extends over a terroir characteristic of the appellation, made up of ancient gravel and sand with an underlayer containing a significant proportion of iron dross.

Château Nenin Pomerol AOC

2011

Château Nenin Pomerol AOC

Château Nénin is located in the village of Pomerol, one of the most prestigious areas of Bordeaux. The Domaine was bought by Jean-Hubert Delon in 1997 from his cousins, the Despujols, owners of the estate since 1847. Jean-Hubert had the intention of continuing the centuries-old tradition of the Château, and precisely for this reason, since immediately, extensive renovation and modernization works, including technical ones, were carried out. Under his direction, the land was in fact drained, the vineyards renewed and the cellars modernised, to improve the vinification and aging processes.

According to the Delon family, Château Nénin is the epitome of a great Pomerol “vin de garde” (wine for laying down). It combines power and elegance, complexity and balance, purity and refi nement. The gradual increase of Cabernet Franc within the vineyards gives the wine tautness, distinction and freshness. To really appreciate the Grand Vin’s ageing ability, you may need to be patient. Like all great Pomerol vins de garde, Château Nénin blossoms over time.

Château Toulifaut Pomerol AOC

2024

Château Toulifaut Pomerol AOC

In 1972, the property itself was purchased by the Famille Jean-François Janoueix, managers and owners of prestigious Saint-Émilion and Pomerol estates since 1898. Janoueix wines have been served to presidents and dignitaries during official state dinners. The reputation of the La Croix-Toulifaut vineyards stretches even further back to the Middle Ages when the religious pilgrims of Saint Jacques gathered in front of the stone cross of La Croix Toulifaut as part of their devotions. The same cross still stands today and serves as a landmark for this vineyard. The very name Toulifaut has its roots in the old Latin French phrase “tot li falt” or “tout y faille” (everyone will give way). History has it that even the most pious person cannot help but be drawn to Pomerol from these vineyards.

ChâteauToulifaut (often listed as Château La Croix Toulifaut) is made from 100% Merlot and carries the winery’s long history of craftsmanship and patience. To the credit of the entire region, the wine shows how the history of the area and the winery’s commitment can be united in a pure and balanced wine experience from Bordeaux. This wine has been called the “Princess of Pomerol” by Jean-Luc Pouteau, the best sommelier in the world, based on its feminine representation of the appellation’s characteristics.

Fugue de Nenin Pomerol AOC (Château Nenin 2nd wine)

2019, 2020, 2014

Fugue de Nenin Pomerol AOC (Château Nenin 2nd wine)

Château Nénin is located in the village of Pomerol, one of the most prestigious areas of Bordeaux. The Domaine was bought by Jean-Hubert Delon in 1997 from his cousins, the Despujols, owners of the estate since 1847. Jean-Hubert had the intention of continuing the centuries-old tradition of the Château, and precisely for this reason, since immediately, extensive renovation and modernization works, including technical ones, were carried out. Under his direction, the land was in fact drained, the vineyards renewed and the cellars modernised, to improve the vinification and aging processes.

Fugue de Nénin was created and first sold in 1997. Fugue comes from sandy-clay soils found in the eastern part of the Château’s vineyards, as well as from the young vines. This second wine is a typical example of the charm of Pomerol. The wines are smooth and silky and can be enjoyed earlier than those of the Grand Vin.

The 2014 Fugue de Nenin is a soft, fruity wine to drink now, a relatively fresh, open style.
