The 2024 vintage in Margaret River was the driest and warmest growing season on record, leading to the earliest harvest the region has ever seen. Despite the heat, the white wines are noted for their exceptional clarity, freshness, and surprisingly high natural acidity. A wine Margaret River produces better than most: the classical styled Sauvignon Blanc Semillon.
The Reschke family first settled in the Limestone Coast district in 1906, establishing themselves as prime Hereford graziers. Their Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a combination of three estate vineyards ‘Angus Brae’, ‘Narrow Road’ and ‘Three Springs’.

Situated on historic Narrow Road at Rowland Flat, this vineyard sits at 380 metres above sea level. Vineyards at this altitude are traditionally much lower yielding than vineyards planted on the Barossa Valley floor meaning the grapes from these vines are regarded as higher quality fruit, as this merlot clearly shows.

Angus Brae is located in Altona between Rowland Flat and Lyndoch, named after Ed Schild’s grandson (Michael’s eldest). Three Springs Farm Vineyard is located at the site of the original family Estate.

This irreplaceable Moorooroo vineyard was planted in 1847 by Willam and John Jacob, just eleven years after the foundation of South Australia putting them amongst the oldest in the world.
Situated between Jacob’s Creek and the North Para River the vineyard gets it’s name from the Indigenous word ‘Moorooroo’ meaning ‘meeting of two waters’.

The Narrow Road Vineyard sits high on the hills behind the township of Rowland Flat. The vines grown adjacent to the original Schild homestead that was purchased and settled by Ben and Alma Schild in 1952 on what was historically known as ‘Narrow Road’.
