For several generations, the García family has been fully dedicated to viticulture. In 2000, leveraging decades of experience and winemaking know-how, they founded Bodegas Monteabellón, a family winery located in the small town of Nava de Roa. Nava de Roa still preserves a multitude of wine presses and wineries where its people once produced and stored wine. As in the rest of the Ribera del Duero region, its history and traditions are closely linked to wine.

Combined with low spring and summer rainfall and high water stress throughout the growing season, this vintage produced a highly concentrated berry, high alcohol content, and short production.

A very intense, bright cherry color.

NOSE
Intense aromas with well marked fruity sensations of blackberry and blueberry, perfectly integrated with the quality oak that envelops everything.

PALATE
Good structure and fruity expression on the palate, powerful and with ripe tannins.

AGEING
At least 5 months in barrels, 50% French oak and 50% American oak.

PAIRING
This wine is recommended with all types of meat, and it’s also excellent with all types of cheese.
