In Spessa, located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, grandfather ‘Min’ – and then father Livio – in the ‘60s began the history of what is today Tunella, owned by Massimo and Marco Zorzettig. The two, together with their mother Gabriella, are now the proud custodian of their family’s tradition, with over 50 years of history. Tunella is the prime example of a reality in which the meaning of the present blends with the memory of the past, together with a strong drive to experiment while almost religiously respecting the best traditions of the Colli Orientali del Friuli: a future built on the present, day by day.

Tunella Sauvignon Friuli Colli Orientali DOP is a vibrant, highly aromatic Italian white wine. Renowned for its mineral-driven character, this cool-climate expression of Sauvignon Blanc avoids heavy tropical sweet notes in favor of a crisp, herbaceous, and beautifully structured profile.

APPEARANCE
Vivacious, bright straw yellow with distinct greenish highlights.

NOSE
Intense, persistent typical bouquet of this variety. The nose is heralded by aromas of great intensity and elegance with green sensations of sage and tomato leaf, blending with delicate notes of melon and pepper.

PALATE
Freshness and aromas are mirrored on the palate, enhancing a fresh and dry taste with perfect balance. Intense and enveloping, it finishes with a long-lasting persistence.

AGEING
The maturation developes with a lengthy series of bâtonnage carried out at intervals to produce a well-rounded and full-bodied wine, with a delicate bouquet.

PAIRING
A wine for lobster, scampi, salmon and sea fish in general. Also excellent with creamed soups and risottos with aromatic herbs.
