St. Michael-Eppan Pinot Noir Alto Adige DOC

Some 340 winemaking families joined forces in 1907 to create St. Michael-Eppan Winery, home to South Tyrol’s largest wine-growing municipality, Eppan. Cellar Master Hans Terzer’s attaches the utmost importance to vinifying top wines that are clear, pure in tone and true to their varietal characteristics.

The Classic line of St. Michael-Eppan highlights typical South Tyrolean wines, vinified in a traditional way, white and red; tell of a particular microclimate and our soils. After a careful hand harvest, the grapes are vinified in steel, except for the red grapes. Varietal typicality, cleanliness and drinkability are the common characteristics of these wines. They offer a genuine and authentic pleasure with an excellent quality-price ratio.

Pinot Noir, “Blauburgunder” or “Pinot Noir”, is one of the most popular and ambitious red wines. It is also a grape variety that does not adapt to any conditions and always presents a challenge both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Thanks to its refined aromas and its unmistakable character, it enjoys great prestige. In the cooler but also sunnier vineyards of Appiano, Pinot Noir develops its full potential, generating a full-bodied and elegant wine.
