Château de La Chaize Brouilly

Located in Odenas (Rhône), the Domaine de la Chaize extends over 250 hectares, including 99 hectares of vines, which makes it the largest property in one piece in Beaujolais cru. Today, the Château is the emblem of the most prestigious Beaujolais Cru estate.

“Brouilly” is a blend of a selection of our vineyard sites, located around the Château, on granite soils of 30 years (average) vines.
2019 marks the return of a vintage that is typical of Beaujolais, showcasing all of the Gamay grape’s crisp freshness.

Bright ruby red with purple reflections.

NOSE
Intense red fruits aromas, crushed strawberries and delicate floral notes underlining discrete spices.

PALATE
Perfect balance between glittering red fruits of great maturity (cherry, strawberry) and bright freshness.
Intense finish on velvety tannins.

AGEING
50% in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and 50% in large wooden vats.

PAIRING
Recommended with scrambled eggs, rabbit, roast beef, sausages or Crottin de Chavignol.

READINESS FOR DRINKING
At its best after 4 to 7 years, and over 10 years for the good vintages.
