The Narrow Road Vineyard sits high on the hills behind the township of Rowland Flat. The vines grown adjacent to the original Schild homestead that was purchased and settled by Ben and Alma Schild in 1952 on what was historically known as ‘Narrow Road’.

APPEARANCE
Deep dark ruby in colour.

NOSE
Aromatically the wine is marked by intense aromas of creamy, dark berry fruit, fresh vanilla bean and chocolate with a fleeting glimpse of the exotic dried spice jar.

PALATE
On the palate it opens with an unctuous mouth filling attack, whilst still showing fresh and balanced without any hint of heaviness. Primary dark fruit remains ever present and a super fine tannin frame pins in the fruit enough to provide a focused end.

AGEING
Maturation in a combination of new and aged oak barrels for 18-24 months.

PAIRING
Ideal with roasted or grilled meat.

Drink now to 2030.
