A tribute to the founder Giovanni Cielo who bought a small estate just in front of the Romeo & Juliet Castles in the heart of Veneto. Originally, in that area, the wines were mostly blends of different regions, hence the decision to revamp the same path to combine richness of southern Italy with fruitiness of the North, obtaining a new original Prestige red blend. It is called «Nero» (Black) as Giovanni refers to a rich red wine. Powerful and concentrated with notes of cherry, blackberry and hints of cinnamon, tobacco and licorice.

Zaccagnini Montepulciano d’Abruzzo ‘Tralcetto’ Riserva is made exclusively from Montepulciano grapes grown on medium-textured clay soils and crafted to showcase the finest qualities of this Abruzzo indigenous grape. The Gran Sasso is the highest mountain of the Apennines (2912 meters above sea level) that protects the region from rainfall from the western side of the country. The cool wind from the Apennines and the sea breezes from the Adriatic Sea create a unique and truly exceptional microclimate. The weather here is typically Mediterranean with hot summers and snowy winters. The composition of the soil mixed: in the hilly areas and on the mountain slopes we find marly-clayey soils, rich in sand and limestone; in the flat areas of the coast, on the other hand, soil with gravel and alluvial deposits.
The vineyards of this Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC are situated around the area around of Roseto degli Abruzzi on the Adriatic coast of the Abruzzo region. The name “iLauri” stems from the ancient roots of our birth place, Loreto Aprutino, once covered in Laurus nobilis, or laurel trees.
The name Bajo (Bay) given to the town’s most important street comes from the hair color of some horses. Bay is one of the most common coat colors in many horse breeds.
