Casa Santos Lima was created to ensure the continuous development of Santos Lima’s wine producing activity created several generations ago. This activity was first started by Joaquim Santos Lima, who, by the turn of 19th century, was already a great producer and exporter of Portuguese wines. Still a family owned company, today is present in the regions of Lisboa, Algarve, Alentejo, Vinho Verde and Douro.
This wine was made quite close to Lisboa, in a place where the vineyards sprawl through smooth hills also offering unique landscapes. With an excellent colour and aromatic exuberance, this is a wine with notes of red ripe fruits and spices, having been partially aged inoak barrels. With a good body and firm tannins, it finishes long and balanced.

You can discern notes of cherry jam, wild berry jam, plum notes, spicy and a hint of liquorice.
PALATE
Luscious and jammy red with full-body combining ripe berry notes and pronounced jammy flavours.
AGEING
Partial aged in oak barrel.
PAIRING
Wines with rich flavours and aromas are a good choice when serving meat dishes. Try it also with BBQ-marinated pork ribs, beef and vegetable skewers or T-bone steaks.
