The Sangro winery was founded in 1971 by 110 members to transform the precious grapes of local winemakers into something big as a cooperatve.

The Sangro river is one of the most important waterways on the Adriatc side of the Apennines. Its wide valley, near the mouth, has always been a fertle agricultural area, crossed in the past centuries by focks in seasonal transhumance between the mountains and the Tavoliere delle Puglia

The Sangro wine is born in the heart of central Abruzzo, between the Maiella Mountain, the sunny hills and the Trabocchi Coast. It is expression of a natural vocaton of the territory, nourished by traditons, experiences and passions that have been handed down for generatons.

This Trebbiano d’Abruzzo comes from the municipality of Fossacesia and neighboring areas, on the freshest and most fertile soils, facing north, north-east and a height of about 100 mt. a.s.l.

TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 12.5%

APPEARANCE
The color is pale straw yellow.

NOSE
The nose shows up delicate and fresh with hints of white flowers, lemon and plum.

PALATE
On the palate it is soft, enveloping and persistent with a slightly herbal flavor.

AGEING
Ageing in steel for about 6 months, with a further stationing in the bottle to completes its maturation.

PAIRING
It pairs beautifully with seafood, light fish dishes, raw oysters, or seafood risottos. Also with fresh cured meats, and vegetable soups. Try it with roasted chicken or turkey breast dressed with lemon citrus herbs.
