Coming from vineyards grown on smooth sun-kissed slopes, of clay and limestone soils with evident traces of marine fossils, this wine was produced exclusively from Touriga Nacional grapes and shows the excellent characteristics of the variety offering an excellent concentration in colour and aromatic intensity.

This quality wine was produced from a selection of the best varieties of this region, using traditional fermentation techniques, long maceration and oak ageing period. Very aromatic with notes of ripe wild berry fruits, in the palate it is a fruity and full bodied wine with some oak notes and an agreeably pronounced acidity.

‘Hat Trick’ has a double meaning, basically this wine is the third in a row of the Lisbon cuvées from Santos Lima. A different blend and a completely unique character due to the ripening influence of the sun in combination with chalky soil and the eight months of wood aging. The ‘Hat Trick’ is the ‘newest’ wine produced by Santos Lima, after the Portuga and the Tarambola. The ‘hat trick’ is depicted literally on the label; ‘a trick from the top hat’.

The altitude vineyards, planted in this region between mountains and deep valleys in granitic soils originate wines of great character and elegance. Gained through generations during centuries, the local know-how allows the production of this wine made exclusively with the indigenous Jaen grape, which is called Mencía in the nearby Bierzo region of Spain. Delicate aromas with notes of wild fruit and dark pepper, it reveals a silky and well-balanced aftertaste. This is a great example of the fine wines from this region.
