Rocca delle Macìe was established in 1973, when Italo Zingarelli, a film-maker, producer and director, decided to realize his lifelong dream by acquiring the “Le Macìe” estate, in order to create a winery in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone and to produce wines that, thanks to their balance between the tannic structure, fruit and pleasantness, can be appreciated by young people and wines that are able to give over the years a great evolution.

The “Zingarelli Family” is the Classic Chianti of Rocca delle Macie which well represents the characteristics of this great wine area according to the interpretation of a winery in which tradition and experience blend with modern techniques.
This Chianti Classico Riserva is an harmonious blend of three vines mixed in different percentages, where Sangiovese has a majority, with good tannins and a rich and persistent finish.

APPEARANCE
Ruby red with garnet textures.

NOSE
Fine sensations of dried flowers, violets and wild berries with slightly spicy contours, with Peruvian pepper and sweet spices.

PALATE
On the palate, this Chianti Classico Riserva opens wonderfully dry, with a good grip and aromatics. Rich, intense and with a beautiful tannic texture, the finale inspires with a beautiful aftertaste.

AGEING
The wine ages in French oak barrels for two years and is then refined further in the bottle, for a minimum of three months.

PAIRING
This wine is particularly suited for red meats, roasts, wild game and dry cheeses.

READINESS FOR DRINKING
Perfect to drink between 2023 and 2038.
