In Spessa, located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, grandfather ‘Min’ – and then father Livio – in the ‘60s began the history of what is today Tunella, owned by Massimo and Marco Zorzettig. The two, together with their mother Gabriella, are now the proud custodian of their family’s tradition, with over 50 years of history. Tunella is the prime example of a reality in which the meaning of the present blends with the memory of the past, together with a strong drive to experiment while almost religiously respecting the best traditions of the Colli Orientali del Friuli: a future built on the present, day by day.

APPEARANCE
Brilliant straw yellow with elegant green highlights.

NOSE
Delicately harmonious, floral with a fruity bouquet, and a typical note of bitter almond, pear, wild flowers and acacia.

PALATE
The palate is smooth, velvety, moderately acid, dry and well structured. The incredibly persistent finish is characterised by a distinctive and unmistakable scent of bitter almond, the uniqueness of the variety.

AGEING
The maturation developes with a lengthy series of bâtonnage carried out at intervals to produce a well-rounded and full-bodied wine, with a delicate bouquet.

PAIRING
A great accompaniment for light starters, cold cuts, dry pasta dishes, fishes and white meats. Excellent with San Daniele ham.
