Colossal Reserva Tinto Vinho Regional Lisboa

Casa Santos Lima was created to ensure the continuous development of Santos Lima’s wine producing activity created several generations ago. This activity was first started by Joaquim Santos Lima, who, by the turn of 19th century, was already a great producer and exporter of Portuguese wines. Still a family owned company, today is present in the regions of Lisboa, Algarve, Alentejo, Vinho Verde and Douro.

“Colossal” is defined by something gigantic in place and time. Made from typical grape varieties planted in the region, this full bodied blend features an intense colour with ripe black fruit and spicy flavours, well balanced with smooth tannins and a long, full and pleasant finish.

Sociedade Agrícola Quinta do Conde is a family owned business located in Alenquer, north of Lisbon. The Santos Lima family, to whom these vineyards belong for many generations has been dedicated since the turn of the 19th century, to wine production and export business. In 2005, the company started bottling and selling its first wines. Since then, the portfolio has increased, having currently more than 25 different brands.

This wine is produced from selected grapes of regional varieties, through traditional fermentation techniques having aged in oak. The result is a smooth and fruity wine, well balanced and with a nice aftertaste.

Quinta Do Portal has been producing Port wine in the Pinhão valley for more than 100 years, but it has been in the Douro at least since 1477, when the King D. Afonso V grants a portion of land (Comenda de Oliveira) to the noble D. Afonso de Mansilha. Later in 1756, Frei João de Mansilha played a very important role in the demarcation of the Douro and its implementation.

This is a blend of unique tawny Ports aged for 7 years in the cellars after a careful selection of the best 6 barrels. The brand is also a tribute to Quinta do Portal’s founder to each one of his 6 grandchildren.

Portal Fine Ruby is elegant, lively and with plenty of rich young fruit. Aged for three years in large wooden vats keeping it as fresh and protected from oxidation as possible.

Portal Fine Tawny is very smooth, clean and bright. Aged for 4 years in barrel, it still has lot of fresh fruit on the nose but already with some nutty notes.
