Rocca delle Macìe was established in 1973, when Italo Zingarelli, a film-maker, producer and director, decided to realize his lifelong dream by acquiring the “Le Macìe” estate, in order to create a winery in the heart of the Chianti Classico zone and to produce wines that, thanks to their balance between the tannic structure, fruit and pleasantness, can be appreciated by young people and wines that are able to give over the years a great evolution.
Good and affordable, this Chianti maintains its quality year after year. Fruity and floral with a touch of spice, it also displays a pleasant suppleness that makes it a versatile wine that will pair wonderfully with a wide variety of dishes.

Deep red color with purple highlights.

NOSE
The nose is rich and captivating, with notes of ripe black fruits (cherry, plum), spicy touches of pepper and tobacco, as well as a hint of leather and vanilla.

PALATE
It is medium bodied, with well balanced tannins and a long finish.

AGEING
It undergoes a period of almost 2 years in oak before being released.

PAIRING
It pairs well with many different dishes,from charcuterie to pizza, pasta and meats.
