Haras de Pirque Hussonet Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva Maipo Valley

Haras de Pirque estate was born with the quest to produce high quality organic wines and explore Chile’s vast winemaking potential while focusing on expressing the Maipo Valley’s extraordinary terroir. The name “Haras de Pirque” is a tribute to the country’s oldest thoroughbred farm, established in 1892. The thoroughbred racetrack still surrounds the estate’s vineyards and the state-of-the-art winery.

In the early 2000’s, Marchese Piero Antinori was captivated by the Haras de Pirque estate, which at that time was an impressive thoroughbred stud farm nestled in the Andes Mountain range. As the finest wines are crafted in terroirs with distinctive elements and natural beauty, likewise a good winemaker and his vineyard complement each other, ultimately expressing perfect harmony in each wine.

Hussonet is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Haras de Pirque’s vineyards in the Maipo Valley. This wine is a fascinating expression of this characteristic territory offering herbaceous and spicy notes sustained by extraordinary freshness, typical of this terroir. The 2021 grape harvest delivered well-balanced expressive fruit with generous fruity aromas and flavors.
