The Sangro winery was founded in 1971 by 110 members to transform the precious grapes of local winemakers into something big as a cooperatve.

The Sangro river is one of the most important waterways on the Adriatc side of the Apennines. Its wide valley, near the mouth, has always been a fertle agricultural area, crossed in the past centuries by focks in seasonal transhumance between the mountains and the Tavoliere delle Puglia.

The Sangro wine is born in the heart of central Abruzzo, between the Maiella Mountain, the sunny hills and the Trabocchi Coast. It is expression of a natural vocaton of the territory, nourished by traditons, experiences and passions that have been handed down for generatons.

The vines of the Terra Regia line are part of the “Quality Vineyards” project and the harvest includes a careful selection of the best grapes. This Pecorino comes from the municipality of Fossacesia and neighboring areas, most suitable hills that lean out on the South slope, -ovest, South-East and altitude is around 200 m. s.l.m.

APPEARANCE
Straw yellow color.

NOSE
On the nose, it combines appreciable fruity notes of peach, grapefruit and white flowers with a fresh and excellent bouquet.

PALATE
Fresh, juicy, and highly savory, the entry is soft and texturally rounded by the lees contact, resolving into a persistent and crisp finish defined by salt-crystal mineral energy.

AGEING
Ageing in steel with batonnage technique, followed by 3 to 4 months in the bottle.

PAIRING
The elevated freshness and unique salinity of the Terra Regia Pecorino handle savory, rich foods, such as creamy seafood risotto, seafood linguine, or grilled sea bass. And it complements Asian-style papaya salads, light antipasti spreads or artisanal cheeses.
