Cantina Sava Campo V Primitivo di Manduria DOP

2022

Cantina Sava Campo V Primitivo di Manduria DOP

In the Sava area, the climate is typically Mediterranean with long, hot summers, but constantly influenced by sea breezes from two seas, which cool the vineyards. Here the area is predominantly flat and characterized by brick-red soils rich in iron oxides from the underlying limestone that give our wines great aromatic complexity.

In Cantina Sava have selected the oldest primitivo saplings and, bunch by bunch, all our grapes are handpicked and brought intact and healthy to the cellar; where they are then handed over to expert winemakers, in charge of the scrupulous vinification and aging and prepare it for a long bottle life. The strength of these wines comes from the ability to dose the three main ingredients of the Salento wine tradition: Sun, sea and passion.

Vigneti del Vulture Canio Aglianico del Vulture DOC

2021

Vigneti del Vulture Canio Aglianico del Vulture DOC

In the Vulture area, the climate is continental with cold, rainy winters and summers cooled by the Balkan breezes. Here the climatic conditions and high altitude create an incredible temperature range that, together with the volcanic soils, rich in potassium and minerals, give the wines freshness, flavour and a unique character.

The Vigneti del Vulture winery is in the small town of Acerenza, a vast area dominated by the austere profile of Monte Vulture, a volcano, no longer active, that, with its eruptions has contaminated the soil of an extraordinary minerality. The vineyards are longer living than the average, robust and resistant to drought and are able to transfer a unique character to the wine. The vines have struggled for millennia to adapt to this ground and in fact, even today, varieties such as Aglianico and Greco have shown that in these extreme conditions they can produce fruit of an unbeatable quality and extraordinary personality.
