The story begins in 1525 when the «village of La Lagune» was founded and transformed into a vineyard around 1587. The Chartreuse was then built between 1730 and 1855. Since her arrival in 2000, Caroline Frey and her team have instilled an energy whose key word is excellence.

The history of Montrose, written in two centuries by three families of owners, is depositary of their spirit, marked by their quest of excellence and legendary vintages. Pioneers in the Médoc, visionary builders and wise managers, all these families knew how to work and valorise this unique terroir. The estate owes them the foundation on which Montrose builds its image today and its unique place in the world of exceptional wines.

Château Siran is the result of a subtle blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, which reflects the identity of its terroir. Both powerful and subtle, Siran’s wines always seek a balance between the softness of the tannins, the intensity of the fruit and a persistent freshness. Siran wines are known for their aging potential, even long aging that will delight the most patient.

2021 is a vintage of precision, returning to a more classic, streamlined style, “The year of Cabernet the King.” After a rather overcast spring, the season gradually regained balance, allowing fine ripeness levels—especially for the Cabernets. Cabernet Sauvignon leads with clarity and finesse, supported by a very expressive Petit Verdot that brings lift and freshness, while Merlot completes the blend with roundness. Lower alcohol levels and a fine tannic frame shape a harmonious, digestible and decidedly elegant wine—in the spirit of the great “fresh” vintages. A little different from the usual style, but just as charming.

The history of Château d’Issan consists primarily of a long list of property transmissions and legacies. By inheritance and marriage, the estate has been handed down from owner to owner, and all of them have contributed in their own way to its renown and helped to forge its unique character. Over a period of nearly three centuries, the estate was passed down along a line involving a number of families with names such as Noailhan, Meyrac, Ségur, Salignac, de la Vergne, Escodeca de Boisse, etc. From 1575 onwards, the property was owned by five generations of the Essenault family, who ended up renaming it, contracting their name to “Issan” and thus Château d’Issan was born...

The 2021 harvest saw perfect conditions throughout, a sign of an excellent Cabernet vintage, where the first tastings revealed a true balance between the density and elegance of the tannins. Full of surprises, the profile of the 2021 vintage so far shows similarities with 2014.

In 1997, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A., and Eduardo Guilisasti Tagle, Chairman of Viña Concha y Toro S.A., sealed a partnership agreement with a view to create an exceptional Franco-Chilean wine called Almaviva. Produced under the joint technical supervision of both partners, the first vintage achieved immediate international success upon its launch in 1998.

The name Almaviva, though it has an Hispanic sonority, belongs to classical French literature: Count Almaviva is the hero of The Marriage of Figaro, the famous play by Beaumarchais (1732-1799), later turned into an opera by the genius of Mozart. The label, meanwhile, pays homage to Chile’s ancestral history, with three reproductions of a stylised design, which symbolises their vision of the earth and the cosmos. The label bears the name Almaviva in Beaumarchais’ own handwriting. Two great traditions thus join hands to offer the whole world a promise of pleasure and excellence.

Alcohol 15%

APPEARANCE
It captivates with its deep ruby brilliance.

NOSE
Fresh, elegant, complex nose. An alliance of ripe fruit and subtle floral aromas dominates initially, before leaving place to fine notes of violet, licorice, ink and graphite.

PALATE
The juicy attack of ripe fruit such as raspberry and blackcurrant is well- balanced by a delicate structure and a fine texture of smooth and polished tannins, well coated with savors of vanilla and cocoa. The mouth is harmoniously balanced by a great acidity.

AGEING
20 months in new French oak barrels.

PAIRING
The elegant and fresh 2021 requires rich, structured dishes as roasted lamb with rosemary and garlic or Beef Wellington.

Château Carbonnieux is a land of Graves, the largest wine estate in the Pessac-Léognan appellation in the Bordeaux region, marked by 7 centuries of history. We are a family, the Perrin family. For 4 generations, we've been passionately cultivating a taste for beauty. To taste the wines of Château Carbonnieux is to travel through its history.

The 2021 vintage will be remembered with pride by Carbonnieux's winegrowers, who had to outwit Mother Nature's nasty tricks. For this vintage, a new packaging for Carbonnieux red, based on the new identity unveiled in 2022, using the same graphics as the white label.

Located in the Montalcino area, southwest of the medieval city, Tenuta Luce Della Vite, one of the estates of the Frescobaldi family, produces some of the best wines of Tuscany and the greatest Italian wines. Literally, Tuscany in a unique light.

Lucente is the result of a careful selection of the estate’s vineyards that are particularly suited for the production of a fruity and very pleasant wine. Like Luce, it is made from Sangiovese and Merlot, which prevails in the blend.

Casa Santos Lima was created to ensure the continuous development of Santos Lima’s wine producing activity created several generations ago. This activity was first started by Joaquim Santos Lima, who, by the turn of 19th century, was already a great producer and exporter of Portuguese wines. Still a family owned company, today is present in the regions of Lisboa, Algarve, Alentejo, Vinho Verde and Douro.

Touriga Nacional, Castelão, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon come together in this sumptuous red blend, very much indicative of the region. Lots of black cherry character at play here. Lovely, drawn-out, soft tannins manifest, with plenty of energy and power.

Château Brane-Cantenac stands proudly in the heart of the prestigious Margaux appellation. Renowned for its wines of remarkable elegance and finesse, this 75-hectare property is an emblem of quality and excellence in the world of fine wines.
Since Henri Lurton took over in 1992, he has made it his mission to produce the best possible wine, reinforcing Brane’s position as a second classified growth in 1855. The Château de Brane-Cantenac vineyard is unique in that the terroir of the Brane plateau contributes to the elegant and aromatic signature of the estate's wines.

Baron de Brane is the second wine from Château Brane-Cantenac. This wine is a tribute to Baron Jacques-Maxime de Brane, who owned the vineyard in the 19th century. This second wine is made from deep gravel plots of clay gravel.
