Located in the Montalcino area, southwest of the medieval city, Tenuta Luce Della Vite, one of the estates of the Frescobaldi family, produces some of the best wines of Tuscany and the greatest Italian wines. Literally, Tuscany in a unique light.

Of the 92 hectares of vineyards owned by Luce della Vite, 11 are registered in the “Albo del Brunello di Montalcino.”
This is where the Sangiovese for Luce Brunello is born. This wine is our tribute to this excellent wine born in Montalcino in the second half of the 19th Century. It was the first wine in Italy to achieve, in 1980, the Denominazione d’Origine Controllata e Garantita. Today it is one of the emblems of Made in Italy fine wines. Luce Brunello di Montalcino thus continues a journey of the highest quality inspired by this unique territory and the great wines that are born here.

It was in Latour de France that M.Chapoutier chose to set up his domain. The vines of Bila-Haut and Occultum Lapidem were the first expressions of this terroir. The story continued near a little village called Lesquerde. Steep, craggy limestone, arid soil, battered by the tramontane wind…

The vineyard of Occultum Lapidem is located on gneiss and schistous soils from the Devonian Period and limestone from Kimmeridgian Period.

Buglioni produces distinctive wines and, alongside the traditional Valpolicella styles, offers more unconventional and pure expressions that reveal the authentic character of the territory and its native varieties.

"Il Lussurioso" gets its name from the long lasting, luxurious, finish it has on the palate. This Amarone is made from 100% estate fruit, which comes from Buglioni's Vignieto San Pietro in Valpolicella Classico. The vineyard, Sant'Ambrogio is located at an altitude of about 495ft and consists of dark, clayey soils with a high content of gravel. Grapes are manually harvested towards mid-September and are dried until January using the appassimento process.

Torre Mora is a small estate dedicated to organic and sustainable viticulture, the use of traditional methods, the authenticity of native grape varieties, and the culture of the territory.
Located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation and dating back to 1365, Château Smith Haut Lafitte is one of the oldest châteaux in Bordeaux. This magnificent property entered a new era in its history following its acquisition by Daniel and Florence Cathiard in 1990. Driven with passion and ambition by the Cathiards, Château Smith Haut Lafitte has established itself as one of the finest properties in the Graves region, with wines world-renowned for their elegance and style, both red and white.

The Petit Smith Haut Lafitte is is the second wine of Château Smith Haut Lafitte but produced and cared for with the same attention reserved for the château's first wine. The château uses its own vines, thanks to a mother vine preserved in the nursery on Lalande Island.

Tied to the Seigneuries of Lafite and Mouton (future First Classified Growths belonging to two different branches of the Rothschild family), Château Clerc Milon derives its name from its historic owners, the Clerc family, who acquired it when it was sold as a national asset after the French Revolution.

Living testimony to the considerable improvements in quality achieved at the property since the arrival of Baron Philippe and his descendants, Château Clerc Milon now has a second wine. Pastourelle de Clerc Milon has joined the dance and already accomplished its first very confident steps in the company of fine Pauillac wines. Its name comes from a traditional dance, the pastourelle, which evokes a knight’s romantic encounter with a shepherdess: the name echoes the pair of dancers that adorn the label of the Grand Vin. Made of gold, enamel and pearls, this precious miniature from the Museum of Wine in Art at Château Mouton Rothschild belonged to Catherine II, the empress of Russia, and is inspired by characters of the Commedia dell’Arte. Baroness Philippine de Rothschild chose it as the Clerc Milon emblem because of her love of the theatre.

2012 was a year of contrasts. The conditions of the vintage favoured superb expression of the Merlot, here mostly planted on clay-limestone parcels.

TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 13.5%

APPEARANCE
The wine has a reddish purple colour with a deeper violet tint.

NOSE
Concentration on the nose is revealed with great refinement and complexity. Black cherry and vanilla aromas give way to deep, smoky, peaty notes along with blond tobacco and dried flowers.

PALATE
Refinement is everywhere on the palate as the lush and creamy attack expands over well-integrated tannins to mingle with generous and varied flavours reminiscent of morello cherry and almonds, with a slightly marine cast.

AGEING
Aged in French oak barrels, with a smaller proportion in new oak.

PAIRING
Perfect for meat dishes and game.

READINESS FOR DRINKING
Drink now and best before 2027.
