Pere Ventura was created in 1992, named after the founder of this winery in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Barcelona), which makes sparkling wines under the auspices of DO Cava. It portrays an inimitable image, which speaks for itself in terms of the product and values which have inspired it: quality, elegance, distinction and prestige. Geographically, the Conca de Barberà valley is crossed by the Francoli river, where the soil is a rich and homogenous limestone which offers optimal conditions for growing vines. APPEARANCE
A dark ruby with purple reflections.

NOSE
The nose is open on black and red fruits. The graphite presence is lighter, the wine is more based on the generosity of the fruits, where a sweeter and more stewed tone well defines the fruit.

PALATE
The palate is rich, opulent, with a full and pulpy heart. The whole is unifying with well-coated tannins. At this stage of youth, the quality of the fruit quenches the thirst.

AGEING
8 months in a oak vat.

PAIRING
Pair with all meats, chicken, mushrooms, and strong cheeses.

Casas del Bosque Private Reserve La Trampa

Juan Cúneo Solari founded Casas del Bosque in 1993, at a time when the Chilean wine industry was pursuing quantity over quality. His commitment to quality is evident in the Gran Reserva Cabernet, a wine which is a great exponent of this characteristic variety of Chile that finds one of its most typical expressions in the Maipo Valley.

The origin of “La Trampa” dates back to the early 2000’s, when the dream of the “Great Chilean Cool - Climate Red” began to take shape through an innovative proposal of planting low-yielding Syrah on granitic soils at the top of the hills. Later, advances in topography and knowledge of the vineyards led the team to plant Malbec in the same soils and in another part of the hill facing east, where the best Pinot Noir were already cultivated.

Over the years, experience showed that complementing our Syrah with Malbec and, later, Pinot Noir would give rise to this great wine, achieving a deep finesse and elegance like no other blend from a cold climate.

APPEARANCE
Deep ruby red with purple reflections.

NOSE
The enticing nose displays perfumed sweet red fruit aromas of cassis and cherry alongside notes of spice, dark chocolate, vanilla and charry oak. Savory aromas of dried juniper berries, bay leaf, and dried tobacco leaf round out the nose.

PALATE
Lucious, smooth, surprisingly full-bodied, generous but elegant. Juicy dark plum and cassis fruits are framed by fine-grained tannins with complex flavours of licorice and dark chocolate.

AGEING
Aged on oak for about 14 months.

PAIRING
Slow cooked pulled beef or stuffed portobello mushrooms with a rich traditional Italian sugo topped with caramelized garlic cloves.

A deep, intense scent of blueberries and cherries preserved in alcohol.

Maceration on the skins for 7 days, in order to succeed in extracting a greater quantity of the gentle tannins that are necessary for the wine’s maturation in wood.

“La Burgondie” was the historical region of France that gave rise to the term Burgundy. The legendary little knight character that appears on the bottles truly captures the essence of La Burgondie. Courageous, confident and loyal. A forward-thinking, like-minded group of individuals who are fiercely proud of their Burgundian roots, their beautiful region and their wines. The same wines, produced using environmentally friendly farming methods, which are evocative of the hard-working co-operative-winemaker families who give their all, and have done so for generations. The Mâconnais hills form a set of inclines separated by parallel faults and facing north/north-east or south/south-west. Chardonnay wines for cellaring come from brown limestone or chalky soils and rendzine terrains. The siliceous, clay or sandy soils, often mixed with flat sandstone pebbles, favour the earlier drinking Chardonnay. In this part of southern Burgundy, the vines form a part of a busy landscape of little hills and valleys that look as though they have been painted in water colours. This charming landscape was celebrated by the poet Lamartine, one of its native sons. The town of Mâcon maintains very close connections with this serene, cheerful, vineyard landscape and its traditions. White wines from Mâcon have been AOC accredited since 1937 and those grown in the arrondissement of Mâcon and its 11 adjacent communes are entitled to the appellation Mâcon-Villages.
