Alcohol 14.5%

APPEARANCE
Saturated, opaque purple-black color.

NOSE
Exuberant bouquet of crème de cassis, blueberry compote, crushed limestone, white truffles, licorice, and toasted, charred wood.

PALATE
Massive fruit power and rich, sculptural tannins. It seamlessly balances a bold, voluptuous body with a mineral-driven and
chalky tension. The finish is formidably long, tasting of anise, dark chocolate, and black tea.

AGEING
Matured for 18–24 months in 80% new French oak barrels.

PAIRING
This 2015 requires rich, savory foods with high fat and protein to soften its intense tannins: smoked ribs, pan-seared duck breast, or grilled Portobello mushrooms.

In the last thirty years, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest has constantly challenged practices and techniques for the benefit of his land and the unique characteristics of the wines grown on it, enabling Château Angelus to be recognised as one of the foremost properties in its appellation area. This recognition has been documented in one classification after another, the last of which awarded Château Angelus the status of Premier Grand Cru Classé "A".

Carillon d’Angelus was first released in the 1987 vintage. Over the years it has acquired its very own identity. Reflecting the high, rigorous standards of our teams, the wine is a variable blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon selected from different Saint-Emilion terroirs. The vinification and ageing techniques are adapted with precision to its particular style. It is highly appreciated for the purity of its fruit aromas, its velvety tannins and elegant finish.

The 2019 turned out to be an easy vintage to manage and it will go down as one of the very top vintages made by the estate. It possesses the depth, balance, tension and energy to be a vintage of great complexity and have an ageing potential worthy of the greatest years.

Alcohol 15%

APPEARANCE
Deep-coloured with garnet shades.

NOSE
Aromas of ripe, fresh fruit on the nose are enhanced by subtle oak notes.

PALATE
Already mellow on the palate, this 2019 reveals a good tannic structure underpinned by pleasant acidity, a key factor for good ageing potential.

AGEING
Aged for 16 to 18 months in 60% new French oak and 40% once-used barrels.

PAIRING
The high concentration of Merlot in 2019 makes it highly adaptable to a variety of rich dishes, like grilled ribeye steak, beef tenderloin, lamb, roasted pigeon, or duck. It pairs perfectly with mushroom risottos and herbal cheeses as well.

This six-bottle gift box featuring the 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022 vintages celebrates ten years with Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal at the helm of the estate, a decade marked by the handover from Hubert de Boüard de Laforest to his daughter, and vintages that have become true signatures.

Some are enhanced by exceptional bottle designs, from the precious 2012 black and gold bottle with its Haute Couture elegance to the 2022 vintage with its 20-carat gold and mother-of-pearl decoration.

More than just a collection, these wines tell a story of passing on and know-how that has driven Angelus for eight generations. These six vintages promise remarkable ageing potential and are already expressing their full grace.

This wooden box of 3 is a very special limited edition case from Château Angélus, containing three bottles from the 2006, 2011, and 2014 vintages, specially selected to commemorate Stéphanie de Boüard-Rivoal's tenth anniversary at the helm of the château. This selection marks the symbolic moment of handover between Hubert de Boüard de Laforest and his daughter and includes vintages that have since become true signature wines of the estate.

2015 was a blessed, dreamt-of year, with favourable weather conditions from spring to harvest. The grapes were simply magnificent, a rare and sublime moment.

2019 will go down as one of the very top vintages made by the estate. This wine is the mirror-image of the Angélus terroir: chiselled and precise. It also offers immediate tasting appeal, which complements well the wine’s elegant style. This is a wine that will go down as one of the great Angelus vintages.

«This was my 35th vintage, and the more time passes, the more I’m convinced that the 2019 will turn out to be a great Bordeaux vintage. Personally, I believe that it could be greater than our 2018.» - HUBERT de BOÜARD de LAFOREST

Alcohol 14.5%

APPEARANCE
A brilliant, intense, dark purple colour.

NOSE
Black fruit and wild cherry notes come bursting to the fore, while the oak is already completely integrated.

PALATE
The attack on the palate is suave, while the smooth, round and enve-loping tannins are cashmere-like in texture. The finish, thanks to the homogenously high quality of the Cabernet Franc, displays notes of spice and menthol, together with lovely freshness and tension.

AGEING
Aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels after cold pre-fermentation maceration.

PAIRING
It pairs perfectly with classic dishes like prime rib, roasted lamb, or duck breast.

The origin of the estate is very ancient. Vines have been grown on the slopes of what is now Château Pavie since the 4th century. Owned by Chantal and Gérard Perse since March 1998, Château Pavie, a 1er Grand Cru Classé “A”, boasts one of the finest terroirs in Saint-Émilion. Château Pavie is renowned for the structure and elegance of its wines.

Starting with the 2005 vintage, Château Pavie officially announces the release of a second-label wine under the name of "Arômes de Pavie” which replaces "Château Tour Simard ” because it would be easier for the consumers to recognize this wine among Perse's range. Principally from young vines that are less than ten years old, the final blend also contains numerous barrels that were remaining following the severe selection that is practiced for the first wine. The same care and attention go into the production of this wine as to Pavie itself.

The 2015 vintage in Saint-Émilion stands out for exceptional weather conditions. Arômes de Pavie 2015 is vinified in the estate’s 20 temperature-controlled wooden vats. After alcoholic fermentation and controlled maceration, the wine is aged in French oak barrels, depending on the vintages in 70% to 100% new oak, for 18 - 32 months. This method allows the oak notes to integrate harmoniously with the wine’s tannic structure.
