					<description><![CDATA[<span id="u12830-7">“I inherited Château Cantelaudette in 1984, </span><span id="u12830-8">I was thirty years old and married in the same year. The property was not really a wedding gift: the house and vines had been abandoned and there was no winery. </span>However, my wife, when she saw the old château, thought that it should be our home. Starting from scratch, we refurbished it to our taste, replanted the vines according to expert recommendations, and built an operational winery to produce a wine under the Cantelaudette label. Without my wife, Laurence, I never would have had the courage to undertake this adventure. Grande Cuvée is a red wine produced in the Bordeaux region of France by Château Cantelaudette. This 2018 vintage comes from the Graves-de-Vayres appellation.

<p><strong>APPEARANCE</strong><br />
Deep, almost black color with a slight shade of evolution.</p>
<p><strong>NOSE</strong><br />
A dominant note of spices and liquorice, enhanced by a hint of toasted notes, reveals a beautiful aromatic complexity.</p>
<p><strong>PALATE</strong><br />
Impression of smoothness confirmed in the mouth with a fleshy and voluptuous tannic structure, characterized by flavors of morello cherry liqueur and ripe fruits.</p>
<p><strong>AGEING</strong><br />
After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged entirely in French oak barrels, made from the finest grain oak, for 12 months.</p>
<p><strong>PAIRING</strong><br />
Rib of beef or rack of lamb with garlic, and chocolate mousse for an evening meal with family and friends.</p>

The nose reveals a gourmet bouquet with notes of black fruits, pepper and liquorice.</p>

On the palate, the wine reveals a perfect balance between the velvety tannins and the sweetness of aging partly carried out in barrels.</p>
