In the last thirty years, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest has constantly challenged practices and techniques for the benefit of his land and the unique characteristics of the wines grown on it, enabling Château Angelus to be recognised as one of the foremost properties in its appellation area. This recognition has been documented in one classification after another, the last of which awarded Château Angelus the status of Premier Grand Cru Classé "A".

2019 will go down as one of the very top vintages made by the estate. This wine is the mirror-image of the Angélus terroir: chiselled and precise. It also offers immediate tasting appeal, which complements well the wine’s elegant style. This is a wine that will go down as one of the great Angelus vintages.

«This was my 35th vintage, and the more time passes, the more I’m convinced that the 2019 will turn out to be a great Bordeaux vintage. Personally, I believe that it could be greater than our 2018.» - HUBERT de BOÜARD de LAFOREST

TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 14.5%

APPEARANCE
A brilliant, intense, dark purple colour.

NOSE
Black fruit and wild cherry notes come bursting to the fore, while the oak is already completely integrated.

PALATE
The attack on the palate is suave, while the smooth, round and enve-loping tannins are cashmere-like in texture. The finish, thanks to the homogenously high quality of the Cabernet Franc, displays notes of spice and menthol, together with lovely freshness and tension.

AGEING
Aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels after cold pre-fermentation maceration.

PAIRING
It pairs perfectly with classic dishes like prime rib, roasted lamb, or duck breast.

Owned and run by the Ciacci family, Tenuta di Sesta is recognized as one of the historical estates in Montalcino. The Ciacci’s rely on traditional ageing in big oak barrels and renewed vineyard management based on climatic changes and in favor of the territory to obtain wines that best express the territory of Montalcino. The Brunellos in particular are marked by exotic perfumes and rich complexities.

The Tenuta di Sesta Riserva has always been the final result of very careful work in the three best Brunello vineyards of the estate. As the Due Lecci vineyards has proven to be the best one for many years now, they decided to dedicate the Riserva to the fruit of this single vineyard. The vineyard has an excellent location on a rolling hill in the south part of the Montalcino territory where all the Tenuta di Sesta vineyards are located.
The Due Lecci Riserva will be produced from the east part (EST) of the vineyard or in the west part (OVEST) depending on the season. The character of the vintage will be defined directly on the label as Brunello Riserva Due Lecci Est or Due Lecci Ovest.

In the Egrots, a small hamlet in the commune of Sury-en-Vaux, 4 kilometers from Sancerre, Michel and Laurent Thomas operate a family estate comprising 17 hectares of vineyards, on 3 different types of terroirs: limestone and stony soil giving fine and fruity wines; clay and shellfish soils giving a wine with intense aromas of almonds and citrus; and sedimentary rock very hard siliceous, giving smoked aromas.

The special bottling "Silex" is limited each year to between 400-500 cases. They grow grapes on three soil types: 40% Terre Blanche-Argilo-Calcaire, 40% Caillottes-calcaire, 20% Le Roc-Silex. This wine come from the hardest stone soil on the vineyard giving it pleasant notes of fruit and a very dry flavor: This wine is bottled using traditional methods without filtration, allowing for a authentic and natural taste to the wine.

Tohu Wines is the world’s first Māori-owned wine company, which created ranges of award-winning, premium quality New Zealand wines that encapsulate their terroir and tūrangawaewae, their sense of place. Each range has been crafted with aroha (love) and is a gift from their land.

"We are Tangata Whenua - People of the land, intrinsically connected to our whenua that we protect, nurture and love."

Pronounced ‘Oh-neh’ in Maori, One means earth or soil. The soils formed over millennia nourished by the Kaikōura ranges and carried to Whenua Awa by the braided Awatere River make our vineyard unique.
The One icon — the maunga, mountain holding our koru — symbolises growth grounded in permanence and stability.
A graceful yet powerful expression of the Upper Awatere Valley, Tohu One Pinot Noir combines concentrated fruit, wild fermentation and considered oak maturation to deliver a wine of depth, character and lasting finesse.

The origin of the name Château Croizet-Bages dates back to the 17th century when the Croizet brothers, an emblematic dynasty of the Médoc landscape, founded this estate in the heart of the Pauillac appellation.

Pauillacais by nature, the wines of Château Croizet-Bages are sunny and generous.

To perfect the most delicate blends, Merlot, harvested relatively early, brings roundness to the grand vin. With notes of candied cherry, it expresses all the purity of a crisp and charming fruit. Petit Verdot, present in a tiny quantity and not every vintage, lends its vibrant color to the wine. The backbone of the grand vin, Cabernet Sauvignon, contributes a long, aromatic power that will reveal itself after a few years of aging. With notes of black fruit and cedar, the tannic structure reveals richness, breadth, and generosity.
